Poland

I was in Poland for a wedding, as you'd expect it was a vodka-fuelled affair, great fun. I did find Poland, and Krakow especially, really rather lovely. Obviously food once again played a big part, with the stodgy specialities fitting perfectly with my northern tastes.

But I have to say the trip to the salt mines, despite being very tourist, was a highlight, quite amazing.

If you do go to the salt mines, please bear this in mind, a lot of people have had the same idea... don't lick the walls...
